Directory overview

The life of OCCI is not carried in one place only. It is expressed through clergy, dioceses, church communities, religious orders, and educational formation. This page serves as a central guide to those parts of the Church’s public life.

If you are exploring the Church for the first time, it is often best to begin with either the clergy directory, the communities page, or the diocesan listings, depending on what kind of connection you are seeking.

Religious Life

Religious orders and communities

OCCI includes religious expressions of Christian life such as the Order of Saint Francis, Old Catholic, the Order of Preachers, Old Catholic, and the Society of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. These communities embody prayer, study, service, and common vocation within the wider life of the Church.

Formation

School of Ministry

Through the Old Catholic Institute, OCCI supports theological, liturgical, and ministerial formation for those preparing for ordination and for continuing Christian education. This work is part of the Church's wider commitment to forming faithful servants for real ministry in the world.

Diocesan structure

OCCI’s dioceses are led by bishops or vicars general and function under the authority of the Presiding Bishop and the College of Bishops and Vicars. Church communities, ministries, and religious orders serve within this wider diocesan and ecclesial structure.
